We LOVE these super sweet cards that have just come off our presses and are getting mailed out for Cupid's holiday! They're just a few of the new designs that will be featured in our holiday album launching in May at the National Stationery Show.
Real Wedding: Brandi & Justin
We had so much fun working with Brandi & Justin to create their invitation suite. We are so into foil stamping on invites - especially for brides and grooms who love silver and gold since it just doesn't have the same pop in letterpress! Brandi's boxes were calligraphed by Elizabeth Porcher Jones - aren't they just stunning?! Congrats to the happy couple! s We had so much fun working with Brandi & Justin
Thanks to Steven Canning Photography for the beautiful photos!
Real Wedding: Liz & Matt
Check out our beautiful Guy suite from our Luxe Wedding Album at Liz and Matt's wedding at Daughters of the American Revolution Hall. Liz ordered her invitations through Hitched here in Georgetown. Their wedding was also featured on Washigtonian's Bride & Groom blog - The Bridal Party. You can check out more pictures from their gorgeous wedding here.
Thanks to Deb Lindsey for the gorgeous photography!
Hot off the Press: Silver Foil Holiday Suite
Nothing like saving the best for last! I've been waiting for weeks to share this last holiday card suite with you. We created this for one of Haute Papier's dearest friends and long time client, Nancy Margaret. She wanted a big "wow" factor this year since the birth of her and her husband's first child happened in 2011 and she had the most adorable photograph to share with friends and family. We still can't figure out how they got all three dogs and the baby to sit still for this great shot by Jennifer Anderson Photography (once our neighbor in Leesburg!). The cards were printed on Crane's 220# lettra (so luxurious!) with red letterpress and silver foil stamping on both the front and back. The envelopes were the perfect shimmery red with silver foiled snowflakes falling on both the flap and front of the envelope... and we couldn't have a suite this great without custom stamps as a final touch! Thank you to The Adlers for giving us the creative liberty, as always, to put this wintery delight together for you!
It's all good ... Biggie Typography Posters!
I've been loving the weekly installments of Jay Roeder's "Juicy" by Notorious B.I.G. lyrical typography drawings. Roeder is self-described as addicted to "drawing letters, lyrics, and random stuff." These posters really bring me back to my school days - driving around with my gals, listening to awesome music, talking about boys and generally being too cool! The "Juicy" posters represent one line of the rap, posted each Friday to Roeder's blog, until the lyrics run out. Can't wait until Friday? Check out some of Roeder's other super creative posters!
