This past weekend, my sisters and I hosted a SURPRISE 30th Anniversary Party for my parents. Let me just say, I'm never doing a surprise party again! While the planning was SO much fun, the stress of keeping it all a secret and telling fibs was just too much! And to top if off, Old Man Weather was so cooperative with a week full of rain, that we had to change venues the day before! Alas, the party went off without a hitch and was, well, a surprise! They didn't have a clue! Stay tuned to see their reactions in Part 2 tomorrow!

Keep Calm...
I couldn't resist... My printer is going like mad printing these onto iron on transfer paper so I can give them to everyone I see between now and 4am when the Royal Wedding starts... I know, ridiculous, but I couldn't help myself! Click here for the downloadable template.
Featured in: Victoria Magazine
Imagine our delight when my mother-in-law called to say she saw Haute Papier's business card featured in this month's Victoria Magazine. The entire magazine was filled with beautiful things that include blues and whites - SO pretty! We were also excited to check out the other entrepreneurs featured including Simply Charming, Rag & Bone Bindery, Sixpence Antiques and Pixie Lily.
Mardi Gras - a little late...
Better late, than never :) I surprised my husband with a trip to New Orleans the first weekend in February, which happened to be the start of the Mardi Gras celebration in the Crescent City! From fried oysters with brie at Clancy's to Muffulettas at Cochon Butcher to a new retail vendor for Haute Papier in The Stationer New Orleans to macarons and king's cake at Sucre to the irresistible beignets at Cafe du Monde, it was a wonderful glutenous and relaxing trip!
