One Week at a Time!

Hi!  It’s Elaine and Mandy once again!  Our last couple of internship weeks are upon us, and we wanted to share some important things we have learned!  Being an intern isn’t always the easiest process from the start.  We had to become accustomed with the specific way Haute Papier operates from a day-to-day basis.  We quickly learned that asking questions was extremely important.   It takes patience, eagerness, and enthusiasm to get the most out of working with a company such as Haute Papier because some projects can take hours to complete.  It is crucial to treat each and every invitation as it was the first because you want all them to look perfect.

We had the opportunity to work on Miranda and Eric’s wedding invitations as well as Morgan and Preston’s invitations.  Both wedding invitations were absolutely stunning in their own way, and we enjoyed working on both of them!

Elaine has also been working on enhancing the pictures and graphics from the Haute Papier website.  Mandy has also had the opportunity to work with Sarah on designing flowers in Adobe Illustrator for an Haute Papier client.

The Real Deal

Hello again! This week we are holding down the fort because Sarah and Erin are in Buffalo, New York for business.  We are getting a little taste of the responsibilities and tasks that Sarah and Erin perform on a weekly basis. We have also begun brainstorming and designing some ideas in Adobe Illustrator for Haute Papier’s holiday line.  Currently, our plan is to develop a variety of designs for the holidays including Christmas and Hanukah, as well as other general greetings such as Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings.  This week we are primarily focusing on Christmas, and as the weeks progress we will incorporate the others in our designs.

And we're off!

For starters, welcome to Haute Papier's blog! Erin and I excited to be sharing the adventures of owning a custom and wholesale stationery studio through this new interface and hope we'll keep you entertained with anecdotes of our daily trials, tribulations and successes.I arrived in NYC for the National Stationery Show yesterday for the official launch of our new lines and it's exciting! The preparation was long and arduous, but now that we're here and the booth is almost completely set up, it's time for action! We'll be posting live from the show starting on Sunday, but until then, here are a couple of pictures of the move in to hold you over.nss_packing1.jpgnss-before.jpgnss-deliver-copy.jpgnss-ironing.jpg nss-hockley.jpg
