And their off ...

I know we've "hinted" about what a great National Stationery Show we had back in May.  Well, with overwhelming success came a lot of hard work (and work and work and work!)  Now I'm not complaining, there's still way too much still to finish up to start complaining now!  That being said, I've always been one who believes in counting small successes in life.  That's what I'm doing today, because late last week our Personal Stationery line hit retailers shelves around the country!  Check out the Haute Papier website to see the current vendors who are carrying our line.  If you don't see your local stationer, please feel free to suggest a retailer.  We've designed something for everyone in our line that includes twenty designs which can be letterpressed or flat printed and can be paired with different envelope liner options.  Here's a sneak peak at what you'll see when you track down our binder!

Project of the Week: Miranda and Eric

miranda

We were quite taken right away with Miranda and her love of our favorite color.  Purple that is ... as if you couldn't tell.  We had just the perfect accessory to make Miranda and Eric's wedding invitation truly pop.  I'm talking our custom made 3" double-faced satin ribbon in plum.  Now I have to admit, I was completely reluctant to let this ribbon go, but I tend to hold on to stuff I love and years later realize I never had the strength to use it on something fabulous (many a great bottle of wine has been lost to this personality fault).  Sarah was not so reluctant, and good thing!

Miranda and Eric also fell in love with a gold and ivory tissue paper which inspired the design on their two-color letterpressed invitations.  We coordinated our metallic gold letterpress ink with a stunning purple custom mixed ink.  The layout was pretty intricate; theirs is definitely an invitation that will take their guests' breath away!  The inivtation piece was mounted on a gold metallic paper which was folded like a book cover with ribbon tucked behind so that when the folded paper closed the bow could be tied around the front.  On the inside, we mounted the reception card and tucked their additional information pieces and the RSVP set into a handmade pocket made from the gold and ivory tissue paper.  The invitation set was packaged in a white mailing box and adorned with custom stamps!

Project of the Week: Lisa & Jay

We're busy this week completing a beautiful three color letterpress wedding suite for a destination wedding in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Lisa came to us month's ago with some ideas of what she liked and a great late-summer color scheme of plum, magenta and silver. Lisa loved the idea of a combining multiple design elements into her suite for an overall creative and cohesive look. She wanted a repeating pattern, loved the idea of a monogram and had a good amount of information to fit onto a event schedule card. Inspired by her honeymoon local (a quite Mexican resort and spa), we designed a geometric "flower" similar to what is found around the property. Lisa fell in love with the suite and they'll be hitting her guests' mailboxes soon. Here's a sneak peek ...
