Make-it Monday: Chalkboard-style

Just a little peek inside of my kitchen today for Make-it Monday.  Our all white kitchen needed a little livening up when we moved in, so I pained the top 2.5 feet of the wall in black chalkboard paint, and then started a "recipe mural" in white chalk.  I'm only 1/3 done and looking forward to getting the rest of the recipe up there - maybe in the style of my new favorite font?  What do you think?

A Good Use for Paint Swatches

We love Sherwin Williams’ brilliant new Color Chips campaign created by McKinney (which is located in Erin's hometown)! The new ads feature color-chip sculptures created by paper artist Matthew Sporzynski, owner of New York’s Couturier de Cardboard Inc. Sporzynski first stunned viewers with his beautiful paper constructions that filled the pages of Real Simple magazine, but his paint chip replications of ice cream cones playful girafees have blown us away! As if these paper creations aren’t amazing enough, the campaing also includes an iPhone app and interactive Color Snap technology . Now you can use your iPhone or Blackberry to capture a color that inspires you and match it to one of 1,500 Sherwin-Williams paint colors. This campaign is defiantly geared toward the color-obsessed designer, which is why we love it so much!
