A Great Gatsby Affair

A Great Gatsby Affair

A few weeks ago, my friends and I headed to F. Scott's in Georgetown to live a night in the 1920's at a Great Gatsby inspired event in Washington, DC.
The minute we stepped through the door we entered another era! The 20's styled atmosphere of F.Scotts came alive once the authentic 20's music began to play.
Everyone came dressed to impress – headbands, sequins, and tassels filled the room. It was a truly unforgettable night!

Help for Haiti

n252016704930_9551There are a couple of fundraisers going on tonight that I wanted to share... First up, come by the upstairs of Lululemon on M Street for Georgetown for Haiti.  $10 donations at the door, donate more and get a gift certificate from one of many fabulous retailers, including Haute Papier with a generous donation.  All proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders.

Or head over to Local 16 for Friday for Haiti - an evening of free food and drinks with a $25 donation to Oxfam.

Or be a really good Samaritan and hit up both - I'm going to be trying to flit from one to the other.

Unveiled...

Are you a bride or member of a bridal party?  Still looking for great inspiration and or vendors for your special day?  Well then, Washingtonian's Bride & Groom Unveiled event is just what you need! You'll be able to view beautiful dresses from Kenneth Pool and even meet Amsale while speaking with other wedding vendors such as Haute Papier, so log onto Washingtonian now to get your tickets... and to a lucky reader of our blog, we've got a pair of free tickets (valued at $110!!)... So leave a comment by midnight on Friday mentioning your favorite wedding vendor in the DC area (and since we know Haute Papier's your favorite stationer, you have to pick a vendor in another category, he he) and we'll announce the winner on Tuesday.
